Social Media for Doctors

May 24, 2018 0
Social Media for Doctors

Becoming a doctor is a great thing when your passion is to help people by saving their lives. It is evident from the fact that doctors today, using the most advanced and cutting edge technology are able to save many more lives.

There are numerous doctors who do not fully understand the concept of social media which can improve the count of patients at their respective clinics. Social media plays a vital role when it comes to marketing your practice and fetching more patients.
Connecting with your patients outside the hospital or clinic can be an uphill task. A lot more doctors use Facebook, Medical Blogs and even Twitter accounts to contact their patients. This is proving to be beneficial as the doctors are pretty well marketed and they can provide in-depth knowledge of their practice area via these social networking sites. Apart from this, doctors can use various cost-effective methods to stay connected with their current patients.

Many patients today are social media friendly. They make good use of the internet to find correct information regarding their disease, symptoms, treatment procedure and a relevant doctor. Making full use of the opportunities presented by these social networking sites, doctors should follow their passion of saving people's lives.
Doctors can succeed in attracting more patients by constantly providing significant information about their practice and regularly updating it. Now the question arises how to update one's data which is already on the website? The answer lies in Search Engine Optimization. Get an SEO done for your website by a reputed company. They will use numerous techniques including exclusive content writing to rate your website sufficiently higher than the others on Google's front page. In layman's language, you'll get a higher PR. Patients searching for your practice area will then contact you and eventually your patient count will rise.
Online marketing and social media together have made the lives of doctors worldwide a lot more flexible. The operating cost of setting up a hospital, multiple offices, teaching and conferences have drastically come down. All the information a patient seeks is now just a few clicks away. Social media has built such a reputation that it connects patients with relevant doctors after the office hours and on weekends.

But that's only one side of the coin. There's a flip side to marketing your medical profession using social media. Doctors all over the world must take care of the fact what to be posted on social network and what not to be. Any misleading information can put someone's life in danger. Though, doctors should emphasize on providing top-notch health services and treatment to their patients.

Becoming an Influencer in Your Industry

March 09, 2018 0
Becoming an Influencer in Your Industry

You undoubtedly hear the term, "influencer" from different people in business. You have probably surmised that not only are influencers important for your business but you might have also concluded that being an influencer yourself is something that will help you to bring your business to the next level.

Why influencers are so critical to your business
Well, the truth is that there are many different reasons why influencers are important for you professionally. Influencers bring credibility (beyond the credibility that you have established yourself for your business) that only they can bring. With credibility comes trust and a position at the top of the food chain as subject matter expert. Okay, you are probably convinced that influencers are important for your business. However, now it is time for you to understand why you should also become an influencer and how you go about making that happen.
At this point, you are probably wondering exactly you go about becoming an influencer. Well, there are some definitive steps that you can follow to get there. However, it is important for you to realize at this juncture that it will not happen overnight. It will take some time and effort for you to become the influencer that you want to be.
  • Embrace the concept of influencer: An influencer is a person who carries a great deal of credibility with him or her. That person has a very positive impact on the niche and, subsequently, your brand. Influencers also come with followers (an entourage, of sorts). Followers can come in various forms, such as people who consistently read blogs that the influencer has shared or people who interact regularly with that influencer. At the same time, influencers can come in various shapes and sizes. The one thing that all influencers have in common is that they all have the ability to influence other people. In other words, they are very powerful people and they should not be dismissed as anything short of that. Influencers have presence and their word carries weight. You can consider them authority figures. They are the gold standard on which you should base your business approach. The truth is that you are not the only person who recognizes the value of influencers. Other people understand and embrace their value as well.

  • Concentrate on your niche: As you start to take steps to become an influencer, the first thing that you need to do is to determine exactly where you want your influence to live. That decision will be based on exactly where your passions lie. If you choose to be an influencer in an area that doesn't really touch you deeply, you will not be able to pull it off. If you haven't been able to convince yourself of your commitment and passion, exactly how do you expect other people to be convinced of your commitment and passion. It is really that simple. However, it is really important that you are closely associated with your niche so that other people can associate you with that niche as well. In fact, that is an important part of your branding. You want to steer clear of speaking about other things. You want to be associated with your niche only. Otherwise, your influencer status will be diluted and you will not be perceived an expert of anything.

  • Give other people the benefit of your knowledge: The truth is that it is one thing to be knowledgeable (even to go so far as to be an expert in your niche) but it is another thing entirely (and much more of a gift) to be able to teach someone else what you know so that the other person can grow professionally because of it. Whether or not you can achieve that is a true test of your influencer status. In this context (with all of the online interactions that you have for your business), the best (and probably the only) way to do that is by sharing content (in whichever form(s) you choose to share. A good way to accomplish that is by posting blogs, videos, newsletters, etc.Another great way to share your knowledge is through online discussions that are relevant and compelling to other people. Remember to pay close attention to your social media profiles at all time. You don't want them to be static. You want to update your status on the various social media profiles and keep people in your social circles close to you so that you can grow your relationships with them.

  • Offer your opinion to other people: Everyone loves to know that their opinions and their feelings matter. As an infuencer, that is even more important for you and for your business. There is no such thing as a silent influencer. It is a contradiction in terms. The more you engage people, the more they will get to know who you are and what you know. Both of those are essential to your continued success. It is not as though you are going to be twisting anyone's arm when it comes to getting them to engage with you. They will be willing participants, as long as the interactions interest them. You just have to make sure that it is always the case. As an influencer, you will be able to achieve that easily. Even if you are not an influencer yet but are on your way to becoming one, that approach will serve you well.

  • Network until you drop: Networking has always been and will always be an important part of the business process. The two possible ways that you can network are in person and online. Of course, it doesn't have to be one or the other. You can also network in both ways. Only you can determine which approach works best for your particular business. At the heart of networking success are the relationships themselves. The truth is that not everyone can (or will) take the time to attend networking events so you need to be flexible enough to make it work with the other person. If you network consistently with people, they will get to know you and the will start to trust you, find you credible, and you will be top of mind whenever they need what you happen to be offering.

  • Recognize the importance of engagement: Engaging your target audience is so important for you. Without engagement, you will be stopped in your tracks. However, you have the power to prevent that from happening. With everything that you have to offer, whether you are an influencer already or you are on your way to becoming an influencer, other people will want to be around you and to bask in the glory of all that you have to offer.
Conclusion
Influencers are extremely important in the professional world and it will be well worth the time and effort that you have to put into it to become an influencer yourself. People will respect what you have to say and they will turn to you for the answers that they don't feel they are qualified to come up with themselves. Make sure that you make your influencer interactions an integral part of your social media marketing strategy. It should be one of the building blocks of your business' foundation. You will hold a position of esteem in your social communities and your business will benefit from all of your hard work. In a world where it is more challenging than ever to grab other people's attention, your influencer status will attract those people and keep them with you.

5 Best Video Marketing Strategies to Improve Your Conversions

5 Best Video Marketing Strategies to Improve Your Conversions

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words.
Well, a video is worth a thousand pictures. And is also why video marketing is now an important part of every online marketing strategy.

There is a good reason for this. The basic aim of any online marketing venture is to make people convert. To keep them interested enough to sign up, fill your contact form or buy from you.
I think you would agree with that. Why would you spend so much of your time churning out content after content to reach people you barely know?
Video marketing is gaining ground because of how easy it is to consume. It's why a video, provided that its well-made, draws more crowds than, say, an instructional blog.
The proof is in the stats. Recent studies show that 75% of mobile traffic will be video.
In this post, we are going to discuss five video marketing strategies that can help you increase conversions.
1- Engage your audience with interactive video
Customer preferences change on a dime. Trends come and go. And even viral content fizzles out in time. To make audiences stay put, you have to give them something that keeps them interested.
Lately marketers are using interactive video to achieve this. These are videos that allow viewers to take part and change their outcome. It's kind of like how multiple choice games work. You create a changeable storyline in which viewers make different decisions for different outcomes.

In a way, interactive videos provide us with experiences that static content can't. Instead of a passive experience, the medium encourages the person watching to take action. This drives engagement.
For example, consider Mended Little Hearts, a charity for children with congenital heart disease that uses an interactive video to show how donating money can make the lives of the kids who suffer from the disease a little brighter.
2- Keep it short but entertaining
The average attention span of internet users is less than that of a goldfish. It's why we would rather skim through content than read every word of it and move on. Grabbing attention is a matter of showing value immediately. Think of it like a five-minute marketing pitch you need to give investors to sell them your idea.
Video marketing works the same way. You just can't post long videos and expect visitors to view them till the end. If you have any hopes of conversions, your video content must be short. And it must be sweet.

Some social media platforms have made it easier for businesses to do this. Take Facebook's autoplay video feature for example. Videos automatically play as users scroll through their news feeds. Viewers will watch for a few seconds and then move on if your video isn't interesting enough to retain their attention. According to stats, the average retention rate of 90 second videos is 53% while videos over 30 minutes retain only 10%.
3- Don't make it look like a commercial
What do we usually do when a commercial comes on? We switch channels. Commercials may have worked before. But now we have small screens in our pockets; smartphones that give us a plethora of other valuable content that we would rather be watching.
Point is, people have more reasons to "switch the channel" on your video now than ever before. Posting a video on your social media channel? People will probably scroll right through it if all its trying to do is sell.
No one watches an ad voluntarily, unless it offers something that is worth their time. Viewers are likely to engage with your content if they are getting something out of this experience. This "something" can be humor or maybe a value proposition. Something unique that might prompt them to convert.
To illustrate, consider a famous Christmas advert by Heathrow Airport where two grandparents (shown as teddy bears) take a tiring flight to London. During the journey, the airport's staff is there to help them to make this journey comfortable till the couple finally meets their family.
It's a pretty poignant ad. It kind of pulls at your heartstrings, reminds you how thrilling it is when families finally get together during the holidays and how journey is all worth it in the end. Most important of all, it makes you appreciate all that the Heathrow Airport does for travelers.
4- Use lead capture forms right in the video
A trick to capturing leads, is to present your lead capture actions immediately. App developers, for example, often place lead capture forms right on the first page of their websites or landing pages.
So, how do you do this in a video? How can you make people convert not after they watch a video, but in the middle of it?

It's possible with a Turnstile. Some online video platforms offer this feature. With it, you can insert a lead capture form anywhere in your video. It's a great way to gain high quality leads like emails or first and last names which can help you personalize your follow-up emails.
5- Use your products to teach your target audience
People learn better if they are able to visualize the subject matter. It's why visual content, like charts or videos keep students engaged longer than boring lectures.
You can apply the same technique if you want your videos to, not only be watched, but also convert your audience into customers.
Some brands do this pretty well. To illustrate, consider Home Depot which airs instructional videos that teach customers how to use or assemble its products. The brand has thousands of subscribers and around 45 million views in the how-to space. By showcasing its products and teaching people how to use them, Home Depot gives them more reason to convert into paying customers.
Wrapping Up
Video marketing offers huge opportunities for those who know how to use it. To recap, you can get more conversions from your video marketing strategies by getting audiences in on the action with interactive video. Focus on keeping content short but worth a viewer's time. Use lead capture forms right in the video and never underestimate the value of instructional videos.
