Social Media for Doctors

May 24, 2018 0
Social Media for Doctors

Becoming a doctor is a great thing when your passion is to help people by saving their lives. It is evident from the fact that doctors today, using the most advanced and cutting edge technology are able to save many more lives.

There are numerous doctors who do not fully understand the concept of social media which can improve the count of patients at their respective clinics. Social media plays a vital role when it comes to marketing your practice and fetching more patients.
Connecting with your patients outside the hospital or clinic can be an uphill task. A lot more doctors use Facebook, Medical Blogs and even Twitter accounts to contact their patients. This is proving to be beneficial as the doctors are pretty well marketed and they can provide in-depth knowledge of their practice area via these social networking sites. Apart from this, doctors can use various cost-effective methods to stay connected with their current patients.

Many patients today are social media friendly. They make good use of the internet to find correct information regarding their disease, symptoms, treatment procedure and a relevant doctor. Making full use of the opportunities presented by these social networking sites, doctors should follow their passion of saving people's lives.
Doctors can succeed in attracting more patients by constantly providing significant information about their practice and regularly updating it. Now the question arises how to update one's data which is already on the website? The answer lies in Search Engine Optimization. Get an SEO done for your website by a reputed company. They will use numerous techniques including exclusive content writing to rate your website sufficiently higher than the others on Google's front page. In layman's language, you'll get a higher PR. Patients searching for your practice area will then contact you and eventually your patient count will rise.
Online marketing and social media together have made the lives of doctors worldwide a lot more flexible. The operating cost of setting up a hospital, multiple offices, teaching and conferences have drastically come down. All the information a patient seeks is now just a few clicks away. Social media has built such a reputation that it connects patients with relevant doctors after the office hours and on weekends.

But that's only one side of the coin. There's a flip side to marketing your medical profession using social media. Doctors all over the world must take care of the fact what to be posted on social network and what not to be. Any misleading information can put someone's life in danger. Though, doctors should emphasize on providing top-notch health services and treatment to their patients.

Optometry Websites - Your Patients Are Looking For You - Are You There Yet?

May 02, 2018 0
Optometry Websites - Your Patients Are Looking For You - Are You There Yet?

Here's a test scenario: Let's say your practice is named "Paradise Island Optometry" and you live in the Bahamas. (You wish, right?) You look for yourself online, and you type "Paradise Island Optometry" into Google or Yahoo.

Your website is the first result. Fabulous, right? Especially since your domain name is "paradiseislandoptometry.com." Your potential patients should have no problem finding you, right? Well, not if they already know about you, at least. And that's the potential problem for many optometry websites.
No matter how wonderful your website is, you'll find that you get much more traffic if you appear in the search engine results for more general terms, besides just your practice name. (And if you don't even appear for your practice name-which is a particular challenge for those with very generic names-it's even more problematic.) Ideally, you should appear not just for "Paradise Island Optometry" but also "Bahamas optometrist" "Nassau optometry" and "glasses Bahamas."
How can you ensure that patients can find you if they don't already know your name? It helps to know exactly what they're looking for. They may use terms similar to the examples above, as well as other terms. Start with conducting keyword research related to your practice via one of the many online keyword tools that are available. For instance, you may have an opportunity to have a potential patient find you by incorporating information on various eye conditions into your website. Someone who is experiencing spotty vision or another problem may find your site by seeking information on this symptom.

These are the types of terms people use when they are looking for optometry websites
This brings us to the next key point: be sure to include a strong local element in your site. Make sure your street address is prominently displayed on your site and visible to the search engines. Include a map, and include your town or region in your page titles. While a person who is doing Internet research on their spotty vision symptom in Nebraska may find your site useful, you're really looking for patients who are in the Bahamas (or wherever you are.) Notify Google Maps and Yahoo Local, as well as area review sites, about your practice, and you're more likely to appear for searches in your area.
Once your potential patients find your site, make they have a reason to stay on your site and eventually schedule an appointment with you. Obviously, your site should look clean and professional-but it should also be easy to navigate and easy to contact you and book appointments. The best optometry websites excel at inspiring a sense of trust and well-being amongst potential patients, while offering in-demand information and convenient scheduling.
Most doctors use less than 20% of the potential of their website for gaining new patients. A great looking website is only one part of getting patients from the internet. Are you getting as many patients as you can from yours? You may find the free expert guide [http://www.besteyecaremarketing.com], '7 Mistakes Doctors Make When Getting Their Website Done'. a valuable resource.

What Is A Niche Market? 7 Things To Consider

February 05, 2018 0
What Is A Niche Market? 7 Things To Consider

Someone asked me a couple of days ago "what is a niche market?" and I thought to share that info here today. The answer is that it's a small segment of the marketplace where the features of a product are specifically aimed at serving a certain group of individuals within the market nook or niche. This would also include a competitive price range and competitive quality also.

It is a small specific part of the marketplace that is focused on, and is highly specialized to meet the needs of customers and to stand above the competition within that niche. An example would be the auto industry, with the niche being brake repair, or tune ups, tires, etc.
Companies create niche products for their customers, no matter how large the company is, as the nature of a growing business is to fill the needs of their customers and stay competitive and thrive within their industry.
The online dictionary definition of a niche is:
1. An ornamental recess in a wall or the like, usually semi circular in plan and arched, as for a statue or other decorative object.
2. A place or situation suitable for a person or thing: to find one's niche in the business world.
3. A distinct segment of a market.
Build a Niche Website
Your online business should not feel like a job but be fun and exciting to you, stimulating and motivating like a hobby. Is there something specific that you're really interested in and enjoy working with, can talk and write about?
Most likely you will be writing a lot of article content on the subject as you build a niche website. So the more that you enjoy working within your niche the more energetic and productive you'll be and this will really show as time goes on.
Another thing is that continued learning within your chosen nook will make you an authority in your niche and make for more great writing content to share with your viewers.

So what niche market or nook interests you the most or gets you excited enough that you want to share it with the world?
Here's 7 important things to consider while choosing a niche for your website, or any business venture.
1. You will be thinking, talking and writing a lot about the chosen subject, to feed the minds of your viewers with the answers or solutions to their inquiries. In order to prosper and grow your business there really needs to be a drive to share the subject and information with those like-minded visitors.
2. You will be constantly communicating with many Real people, answering their questions and explaining things to them concerning the subject and content on your website. As you write your articles and comment responses you'll want to make sure that proper grammar is used throughout your site content. Misspelled words and broken sentences do not read well and will send your visitors to another site where they don't have to be distracted with poor grammar.
3. You will be choosing products to promote within your chosen nook because niche products sell online and your viewers will need to be informed about each one of them and how they can help your viewer. If the products that you choose to promote are not relevant to what your viewers are interested in they simply won't purchase the product.
If you however, with your product info and how it can benefit the viewer, explain to them how it can help their situation or make things easier for them, you will prosper along with the viewer via increased sales.
4. You will be helping many others within your nook with their questions and concerns. So then, you being an expert in your niche need to be enthusiastic and enjoy each opportunity to enlighten others on which way to go, etc. You can even show them how to solve their online difficulties using screen shots and tutorials within the niche.
5. You will most likely branch out to another niche(s) in the future and perfection is not a requirement. However in order to draw viewers to the site to see what you have to offer, your online store or service will prosper and rank with the search engines much better when quality is applied in every aspect of your business.
6. Any niche website that you create can become a full-time income earner for you. This is so awesome, you only need one website properly started from your thoughts and created according to step by step instructions to become your 24/7 online business that even operates while you're sleeping or on vacation.
7. If you're not now, you will become an expert and an authority in your field. To the extent that you can share your niche information with others and obtain more knowledge to pass on in order to help them grow, you and the site will also grow and attract more searchers.

Remember each and every time that you sit down to write a post that your audience is not Google, Bing, Yahoo or some search engine, but Real People, just like you and your brothers and sisters, mom and dad too. Yup, and they can find their answers on another site but they want to see if you can help them first. So welcome them and give them your best each day and watch your business grow accordingly in your niche market.
I hope that pretty much answers the question "what is a niche market" and shows you 7 things to consider as you move forward with your plans of building a website and entering into the online market. It truly is a different experience as compared to getting up early and facing the traffic, people, boss, etc., week after week. It's a great idea to start creating an online presence and build it up step by step until you can start working from home or anywhere, with your laptop. How Can I Best Use Pinterest For My Business?

October 31, 2017 0
How Can I Best Use Pinterest For My Business?

Pinterest is no longer just a social media site where women share product images. It has over 150 million active users, both male and female. Pinterest provides entrepreneurs, bloggers and businesses large and small with a global reach.
Pinterest functions like a digital message board. You "pin" pictures to "boards" that you generate. Each board concentrates on one specific topic or subject of your choice, and all of the pins on a particular board are categorized as that area of interest

So how can Pinterest work for your business?
Take Advantage Of Image Height
Pinterest automatically scales all images you upload to a specific width. However, the height is up to you. The images which jump out on Pinterest are those which are taller. Image size matters a great deal when your prospect has many different pieces of content to look at. Taller, vertical pins perform better on Pinterest than shorter pins.
Show Several Products In A Single Pin
Make an image featuring several items that you offer or sell. This adds value to an individual pin by displaying several offerings, products and services. You have a better chance of engaging and appealing more users by showing multiple options. There are plenty of free image tools that you can use to create these type of images.

Include Text On Your Images
The vast majority of pins on Pinterest are just illustrations, photos or images. When you add text on top of your images, it makes them jump off the page. Research shows that images with a text overlay consistently drive more engagement than images without text.
Write Descriptions
Add descriptions with your images when you upload them to Pinterest. Studies show that pictures with descriptions of 200 to 300 characters (about 50 words) were the most repinnable. Include your keywords phrases in your pin descriptions.
Use More Light Colored Images
Research shows that lighter colored images are repinned much more regularly than darker images. Red tones and colors are also more likely to be repinned than images that are primarily blue. Keep in mind that very dark or very light images do not draw as much engagement on Pinterest as those with modest coloring.

Don't Forget Your Keywords
Pinterest recommends using 20 to 30 keywords with your promoted pins and Pinterest ads. Include main keywords, related phrases and long-tail keywords as well, and use the 20 to 30 word suggestion.
Pinterest has become a major player in the social media universe. With over 150 million active monthly users, Google is paying more attention to Pinterest, which means you can boost your search engine rankings and enjoy free, targeted traffic by hopping on board this social media super-brand. Rocking Twitter for Your Business

September 27, 2017 0
Rocking Twitter for Your Business

Twitter may seem like an enigma to you but if that is true, it is time for you to get to know how to use it and to embrace all that it has to offer because its potential is vast.

There are the basics and then there are the advanced features

If you run a business, you probably have some sense that Twitter is a great, effective way to communicate although it limits those communications to 140 characters (with spaces) per tweet. You may be surprised at how effectively you can communicate with such a limit.

You may have a good understanding of the way Twitter basically works. However, at the same time, you may not be aware of all of its capabilities. Once you learn about them, you may be able to take advantage of those advanced features for great benefit to your business.

Build Twitter lists:

When it comes to business, lists are a critical organizational tool that no business person can do without.

One important, advantageous list that you will want to build through Twitter is your influencer list. Not only should you list the influencers on your list but you should also add a place where you can make notes about what the influencers want to know.

If you have a capability of answering his or her questions, you will be able to build a relationship that will be solid and enduring.

The truth is that communications via Twitter seem to move very quickly. That means that there is a danger of your losing some of the information (or some of the information falling through the cracks).

However, if you have captured important information in your list, it will be exactly where you want it and where you can access it at any time. Twitter lists are an extremely powerful tool and, surprisingly, fewer people take advantage of that feature than you might expect.

Get involved in Twitter discussions:

In addition to simply interacting with other people through Twitter, another way that you can communicate with other people is by setting up discussions that are predetermined.

That is a really useful feature because it gives you the opportunity to prepare for the discussion, which inevitably means that it will be more productive and more useful. Very often, those Twitter discussions yield valuable feedback (and other ideas) that you can use to improve your brand in some way.

Another very valuable result that can come as a result of those discussions is that those interactions can enable you to connect with other people on an emotional/human level, which is the only way that your relationships can exist.

Create a Twitter video:

Posting a video is a wonderful way to draw the right sort of attention from other people. Posting a video to Twitter is very easy and it can be extremely effective.

You may be surprised to see how much additional traffic you get as a result.

Depending on your particular business, you probably have a great deal of potential content that you would like to share with other people on Twitter.

As the video is running, the text will appear so the audio part of your video is not as important as the visual part. Of course, it is critical in that case to ensure that everything is clear (not blurry or distorted in any way). If you aren't sure about the content of your videos, give it some thought and use the feedback from your Twitter discussions to get ideas and to get inspiration.

Remember, that you don't want to make videos that are long. Thirty seconds of video (after editing) is a perfect length for you and for your viewers.

Everyone is busy and nobody has the time or the patience to watch a video that is much longer than that anyway.

Twitter allows you to tag other people:

Tagging other people in photos is not just on Facebook and Instagram. Twitter also allows you to tag people.

In fact, it allows you to tag a maximum of 10 people, which is a really good number.

With that in mind, however, remember to use that feature sensibly and respectfully. If used appropriately, tagging people in photos will result in your relationships with those people becoming stronger and stronger.

While we are on the subject, it is important to keep in mind that you should always give credit to people when they deserve credit. That can mean a variety of different things but whatever that means, it is always going to be the right thing to do.

Take a Twitter survey:

One of Twitter's features is a Twitter poll. People love to offer their opinions and they like to feel that what they think is important to other people.

The fact is that you will not only have a responsibility to keeping your finger on the pulse of what other people are doing and saying but also on what they are doing and saying about your brand as well.

Feedback from your target audience is absolutely essential to your success.

It must always be on the forefront of your mind. You can run regular Twitter polls or just introduce them on a more random basis.

It is up to you to determine what works more effectively for your particular business.
Conclusion

The fact is that Twitter is a social media channel that is here to stay.

Earlier on, it may not have been so clear that it was effective for business but that certainly is not the case anymore.

Numerous people recognize its value for business and they are taking full advantage of all that Twitter has to offer.

Embracing all that Twitter has to offer can only improve upon what you are already doing.

How to Use Podcasts in Your Online Marketing Strategy

August 18, 2017 0
How to Use Podcasts in Your Online Marketing Strategy

Despite the increase in video streaming, podcasts remain a popular medium. This means that you should consider using podcasts in your online marketing strategy.
You can use them to repurpose old blog articles or to build relationships with influencers in your industry.
The use of podcasts helps with brand exposure and is a highly cost-effective way to increase your overall marketing strategy.
Find out how to incorporate podcasts into your existing marketing efforts.

Invite Guests to Discuss Relevant Topics

The first example of using podcasts for marketing is to invite guests to talk about a topic relevant to your industry.
This method is most effective when your guest is an influencer. This is someone that has a good reputation in your industry and a lot of followers.
By using podcasts to interview a guest, you can attract their audience to learn more about your brand.
This also helps you build relationships with people that matter in your field. You've taken the first step toward building a relationship that could lead to further cross-marketing opportunities.
How do you record the interview? Typically, all you need to do is record a phone conversation. It's just that simple. This is part of the reason that podcasts are so beneficial.
They're quick, easy, and affordable.

Repurpose Your Existing Blog Content
Another option is to repurpose your existing blog content. If you've got old posts that don't attract any more visitors, you can convert the post into a podcast.
Use the blog article as the topic for your podcast.
Don't simply read the article word for word. Use it as a guide.
This makes it easy to find topics for your podcasts and continue to release new podcasts on a regular basis.

Create Informative Content and Tutorials
You can also use podcasts to provide your audience with informative content. Podcasts should generally be kept to 15 minutes or less.
This gives you plenty of time to offer tips and suggestions on a particular topic. This is the same as generating blog articles for your target audience.
You can even perform the reverse of the previous tip. You can easily convert your old podcasts into original blog articles. Transcribe your podcast and then edit it into an article for posting on your blog.

Continue to Release New Podcasts
As with any marketing strategy, consistency is key. You'll want to create a schedule for releasing new podcasts. This helps you gain a loyal following.
During your first couple of months of posting podcasts, you should try to publish new podcasts several times per week.
The podcast also requires many of the same SEO strategies as other content. This includes catchy titles and descriptions. This is how you get people to discover your podcasts on podcast directories.
You can also share your podcasts on social media and promote them to your email subscribers. Basically, it's one more marketing channel for you to use to gain new followers.
Podcasts shouldn't be overlooked as a marketing channel. One recent survey found that over 46 million Americans listen to podcasts each month. Don't miss out on this chance to gain new followers or potential customers.
Incorporate podcasts into your existing marketing strategy.

How Can You Identify Your Target Market?

August 09, 2017 0
How Can You Identify Your Target Market?

Let's say that you are in the weight loss market. It's a big market, worth some $60 billion per year and is very profitable for a lot of businesses. And that's the problem. A lot of businesses are involved in this industry.
You may have some great products and services but how do you get your business noticed in a crowded marketplace?
Segment Your Market
Rather than concentrating on a huge market, like weight loss, use a market segmentation system. This where you target your marketing to a smaller sized, specific segment of that large group. For example, your marketing initiatives and tactics are targeted to single women over 40 years old, or another more specific group.
Your Customer Avatar
To establish your target market you need a very clear idea of your ideal customer. This potential customer is known as your customer avatar. How old are they, where do they live, what are their likes and dislikes? What are all of the characteristics that make that individual your dream customer.

When you focus on a smaller sized target market rather than a general market, it is much easier to connect with an individual. Always remember you are marketing to one individual at a time, not a group. Target your marketing to a smaller subset of a larger group and your marketing efforts have a much better chance of giving you the results you want.
Should You Ever Change Your Target Market?
If your marketing efforts are not providing results, may need to change the focus or target market of your business.
Sometimes, despite the fact that you have done a lot of research, you end up marketing to the wrong group of people. Your target market may not want to spend any money on your product and service and may just be looking for free advice. That's when you need to refine your market and look for a segment of people who have expressed a serious interest in spending money.
Analyze Your Marketing Tactics
Another situation could be that your target market is just fine, and you just need to change your strategy and marketing techniques. For example, your audience may not be responding to your social media messages but may be more responsive to email?
At other times, if you're not achieving the success you're looking for after a lot of time and effort, it may be your target market that needs changing, and not your marketing itself.
