What Are You Creating Next To Grow Your Business?

April 15, 2018 0
What Are You Creating Next To Grow Your Business?

Creating new things leads to growth.
Whenever I talk to business owners who want to grow their business, my question is "What are you creating to make that happen?"

Many times, they don't have an answer. Instead, they are just trying to do more of the same things. More meetings, more conversations, more sales, more customers. And if things are working well, then by all means keep doing them.
But in order to improve things in a bigger way, we have to innovate. And innovation means creating and trying new things.
Create New Things To Sell
Creating something new could mean a new product, or program, or package. Having something new to sell can open you up to customers who weren't buying your previous offer, but might be interested in something a little different.
This often happens with my clients who build online courses and training programs. They are able to sell the program to people who hadn't signed up for one-on-one services. It's a different approach, a different price point, and a different opportunity.
Having a new offer opens up conversations with people that had previously been at a dead end. It can create momentum in your business, and lead to growth in areas that didn't exist before!
Create Things To Reach More People
The best way to reach more people is to create things to help you get in front of them. This is where content comes in!

What can you create to provide value and give to people? Can you send them a blog article? Offer them a free PDF download? Invite them to an event? Engage with them through a video or audio series?
Content is a hot-button word in marketing these days because it works!
It's the best way to find and reach the people who are interested in what you do. With my clients, I recommend creating 1-4 Nurturing Content pieces each month, and one Catalyst Content piece every 12-18 weeks.
Creating content is what allows you to get in front of people on a regular basis in a positive way, rather than with the same annoying sales pitch.
Creating Systems
Another thing you can create to grow your business are systems and processes. What is your process for following up with people? What is the sequence of communications? What do you provide to build a relationship and earn their trust?
Maybe you need to create a leveraged program, sales process, or customer service system. What are the pieces of the system? Once you create it, you can use it over and over again.
So it comes down to this...
If you want to be growing, then you also have to be creating. The fastest growing businesses and individuals have time built in to create things in these categories for their business.
How about you? What are you creating next to grow your business?

Using Information From Surveys to Stay Informed and Keep Ahead of the Game

February 19, 2018 0
Using Information From Surveys to Stay Informed and Keep Ahead of the Game

Gathering market research data is an excellent way of identifying a target audience for your product or service, but understanding and acting upon it is the key to your success.

Market research falls into two broad categories - primary and secondary. Primary research describes the process of gathering information from customers directly, by conducting online surveys or organising focus groups or one-to-one interviews with carefully selected individuals from within your target group. Secondary research more involves picking up information acquired by others, by trawling the blogs and websites of other businesses, even competitors, and absorbing the data that they have.
Adapting to Customer Expectations
Online surveys are an excellent means of compiling vital information from your potential customers which enables products and services to be more finely tuned to their expectations as well as to possibly changing demographics. The proliferation of companies offering online research to businesses which seek important information, both from their target group and sometimes from the wider public, provides an alluring range of options and choices of approach and methodology. For those who would prefer not to outsource the information-gathering process there are options such as Survey Monkey, which allow businesses to design and manage their own surveys. Either way, as method and technology become more sophisticated with the development of better software, businesses are increasingly able to identify with precision the customer base which they are keen to interrogate.

As well using surveys to identify potential customers, many businesses will also employ them as a handy way of keeping up with trends and spotting any movements in customer expectations. Equally they are a useful tool for quality control, teasing intelligence from existing service users about satisfaction levels and how a product or service measures up against its opposition at any specific moment in time.
The Importance of Understanding Your Customers
Survey companies such as YouGov and Ipsos obtain their information from the public by offering a small financial incentive to their own members to complete questionnaires on specific topics. Of course there is the danger that particular demographic groups may be over- or under-represented amongst their users, for instance it would be reasonable to assume that, all else being equal, those on a higher income would be less in need of the usually modest financial inducements offered than those who are otherwise unemployed or in low-paid work. The competent provider will be able to redress this imbalance through the screening process at the beginning of every survey.

Knowing who your customers are, the nature of their expectations, the quality of your competition and the level of satisfaction that exists with your own service or product is vital to any business that aspires to stay ahead of the game.

Going Smaller With Lead Generation This 2018?

January 05, 2018 0
Going Smaller With Lead Generation This 2018?

There are only a few days left before 2017 finally comes to a close. You might have noticed that there are a lot of articles-more so than usual anyway--about incoming marketing trends and methods for 2018, some of which may include B2B marketing and lead generation.

Amongst the sea of predicted oncoming trends, we've found a certain suggestion that is definitely worth noting, and perhaps even applying in your lead gen methods next year:
Going Smaller.
It is well known in the B2B marketing field that events and conventions are gold mines for getting leads.
According to a lead generation research report by marketing blog Chief Marketer,
"... live events tied with SEO as the second most effective channel for producing the highest ROI leads."
Putting this into consideration, one of the site's writers also a marketer, notes that their efforts in local business lead generation were much more effective when they did not join in large events. They actually found that it was more efficient to host small events on their own.
The writer states that:
"Instead of trying to get in front of as many prospects as possible, what if we just got in front of the right prospects, where we controlled the environment without any competitors in the room?"
When you think about it, it does make sense. Having a mindset of "quality over quantity" is important when it comes to B2B marketing. It is not about how many leads you get; it doesn't matter if most of them can't be converted in the end, anyway. What is important is finding the right people.
Imagine this scenario:
You're a marketer for a software development company. You go to a major event and manage to snag a hundred leads. Feels great right? But in the end, after contacting all of them, only ten of the leads decide to avail your services. It seems like you worked so hard for so little, right?

Now picture this next scenario:
What if you organized a small convention for your company? Only fifteen people attend, and it feels like you've failed miserably in advertising. But alas, they all agree to enter into a deal with you. The small number lets you promote your services with a more personal touch, since you have more time to spend with each lead.
In which situation did you gain the most from? Which was the more efficient method for you?
Scaling down your efforts and targeting a smaller but more relevant pool might actually work better for you. After all, you'll be aiming straight for the people that are the most likely to sign a contract with your business. What's important now is that you analyze your data more closely in order to make your lead targeting more precise.
But this philosophy doesn't have to apply only in events where you have to do the promoting in person. You can also do this in, say, social media. Among all the social media channels, LinkedIn by far has the most promise for B2B lead generation. So instead of casting a wide net on different sites like Facebook and Twitter-the latter of which doesn't have a great track record in B2B-why not focus more on LinkedIn?
Going smaller may seem counteractive if you want to get more business, but it's actually the opposite. It makes you less likely to waste time on ineffective leads, and helps you improve your targeting game with local business lead generation.

7 Features Every Chatbot for a Human Centric Industry Must Possess

December 28, 2017 0
7 Features Every Chatbot for a Human Centric Industry Must Possess
Customers are like a breakable glass that is deemed to break when not handled with care. There are myriad of product-specific companies and heterogeneous human-centric industries, of which, the roots lie in the customers' behavior, their ideologies for your brand, the reliance factor, and how your brand satiates them through their lens. It's truly paint-by-number approach that works horizontally as well as vertically.

To saturate this highly expectant market when the goal is to provide instant help, accurate suggestions, drive conversions then chatbots supercharged with Artificial Intelligence comes to the rescue.
Let's delve into the most imperative features a chatbot must possess before entering a human-centric industry. Take a sneak peek.
1. Predictive Intelligence
A chatbot should have the ability to observe customer behavior, past conversations, build a profile of customer preferences and based on that it should be able to frame adept and brainy responses and make the business more efficient, smarter and successful.
2. Small Talk Interactions
The Chatbots must possess an aptitude for small talk conversations. It should be able to handle the everyday questions and generate a more realistic human-like response to drive meaningful business results.

3. Advanced Messaging
Advanced Messaging, when enabled in Chatbot, gives them the knack to send and receive images, documents or links, and files. Boost them with features like clickable buttons, showing users cards and tiles about links, shortcuts, and images.
4. Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning
This is the core of any modern chatbot. Also known as NLP it employs deep learning to analyze human input and generate a response. It happens when response analysis and generation is learned through the deep learning algorithm.
5. Topics and intra-topic Steps
When in the chat something is discussed over a subject like discussing Beverage selection on a Food Chatbot and then progressing on to the next step like the payment option is defined as smoothly switching from topics to intra-topics. This in-built intelligence should be there in a chatbot.
6. Robust Analytics
Analytics shows the insights into how your users interact with your bot. Through Analytics, you come to know what your customers' pressing needs are, how many customers have engaged with the bot and so on.

Analytics is an imperative piece of driving business, when done right it drives higher sales, improves target marketing and optimizes experiences.
7. Extended Support
Chatbots should be able to supply needful information and positive experience making a pleasant intimacy with customers.
Eventually, chatbot should bring a hybrid experience of all these qualities and incorporate a structured content and images into the conversation, making the experience richer and useful.
This can be effectually achieved by infusing Machine Learning during Chatbot app development in order to gain superior Human-computer Interaction.

A Happily Ever After for Chatbots & Messaging Apps?

December 27, 2017 0
A Happily Ever After for Chatbots & Messaging Apps?

On the aftermath of their debut on messaging apps, chatbots have been at the epicenter of an ongoing conversation about personalisation. Why did this collaboration happen? And how far will this go? It's time to take a deep dive.
In the '60s, renowned media analyst Marshall McLuhan argued that the 'Medium is the message'. He was certain that it had a role in shaping and controlling "the scale and form of human association and action" up to an extent. According to this theory, the medium embeds itself onto anything it transmits, and it directly influences the way the actual message is perceived. It tries to be an extension of our senses, expanding our ability to perceive and interact with the world.

Today, about half a century later, the medium becomes an acceptable form of human interaction - say hello to your messaging apps. As of last year, there were 1 billion users (14% of the world's population) on WhatsApp. And combined with the users on Messenger, there are 60 billion messages - text, video, recordings that are sent and received each day. Where else would businesses find a better level of engagement?
In a recent survey conducted by Facebook, participants who could chat with retailers on these messaging platforms, be it on transactions, inquiries, or post sales services, felt more positive about the business. Commerce became a personal affair. McLuhan was right, and is still right - The impact of messaging does lie on the medium.

It's been almost 20 years, and why haven't businesses been largely successful harnessing these platforms yet? Because until chatbots came along in 2016, businesses marketing themselves via messaging apps were oblivious to one philosophy/brand of personalisation - 'If not human, be humane.'
Ever since they entered the market, chatbots on messaging platforms have been hit. They are having a positive impact on businesses, as more industries are jumping aboard the 'personalisation' bandwagon. Now, what is the next step? What does the future behold for this eclectic union? Here are 3 possibilities -
  • With chatbots, messaging apps will become the new browsers. They are about to do for businesses what websites were doing for them about a decade back. Forrester Research expects investments in AI and Machine Learning to triple in 2017, to better harness user behavior, to enhance the conversational interface brought about by bots.
  • Messaging apps will become more relevant to IoT installations. For e.g. more customers will begin to receive coupons, notifications on sales etc. via messages when they happen to just pass by the store. Or alternatively, employees in a factory can stay better connected with their machinery, and make better use of the data collected.
  • The 'App culture' is sinking, as users are getting more tight-fisted about device memory and data usage. But messaging apps/platforms are still titled 'essential' because messaging is now a way of life. Since chatbot platforms can directly deploy bots onto these apps, the need for a proprietary app is canceled. And the scope of services that businesses offer on these apps can keep expanding.
With the advancement in AI and Machine Learning towards its capabilities, chatbots are about to go a long way in understanding the nitty-gritty human behavior through messaging apps. But if McLuhan's theory still holds good a decade from now, chatbots might even become a critical part of human perception overall.

Affiliate Links And How To Protect Them From The Commission Thieves

December 15, 2017 0
Affiliate Links And How To Protect Them From The Commission Thieves

Number One Affiliate Advertising Danger
It isn't what you think it is. The number one danger to your affiliate commission is not the boogie man. It's not the competitor. No... it's the one that you have spent so much time trying to reach. The person you have been marketing to. They are the number one danger. Affiliate links matter to online marketers.
You may be saying, "How is this so?" Well, let me explain. You see the internet is this wonderful reservoir of information. This is good for so many reasons. It allows you to reach people like you have never reached them before. Also, information is easy to access. And this is where it gets tricky.

Introduction To Information Overload
You see the same people you are marketing to... well everyone else is also. In this pool of information you will find that the consumer has access to not only your information, but also the competitors.
What this means is that after they've read your article, there may be a good chance for them to read your competitions. This means that they may click their affiliate link, or even go directly to the website destroying your chance of getting your hard earned commission.
Almost Seems Unfair Doesn't It?
All that work for no return. That is the name of the game. Everyday hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of commissions are lost to this travesty. However, don't despair. There are some things you can do to ensure your commissions are not lost.
Here are some power tips that can help to ensure that you do not share the same fate as so many unfortunate internet marketers.
Protect Your Affiliate Links
This may sound like basics, but trust me in the long run its the best advice I can give. You can cloak your link with many different tools out there on the market. One of my favorites is to setup a custom URL to the offer allowing me to brand while directing traffic to the offer.
Promote Yourself First (Not Your Affiliate Links)
This is another simple method that seems simple at first but many don't follow this rule. You should build your list first. This allows you to capture a consumer's information, and repeatedly market to a warm lead.
You are building a relationship with this lead which builds trust. With trust comes commissions as they will follow your link to your offers.
In Conclusion
The two above methods are just a couple of ways you can protect your links and get you commissions. The lifeblood of an affiliate marketer is reciprocity. If they are not clicking on your links and purchasing you are not making money.
For the best way to protect your affiliate link from the commission thieves click here now, and begin protecting your profits.
Quit allowing others to steal your commissions. Dominion Makers has now released a new WP plugin that allows you to protect your commissions for good. There are only 350 total units of this item being sold, so time is limited. To gain instant access, click here now!
